Dorothy Parker (Dorothy Rothschild) died on June 7, 1967 in New York City. She was a famous American poet, storyteller, playwright and screenwriter. Known for her sharp wit and for exposing the urban foibles of the 20th century. Parker received praise for her literary works published in prestigious magazines such as The New Yorker and as a founding member of the Algonquin Round Table.
