Here are some interesting, entertaining, serious, inspiring thoughts from Mary-Kate Olsen

Our career is a dream. I mean, we get to act, travel around the world, and meet great people. What's not to like about that!

It's weird to be called a celebrity or to talk about it. I don't talk about being a celebrity in my business meetings. I don't talk about it to my friends. It's not part of my life. It's the media's perception of who I am.

I like getting fabulous jackets, because you can wear your pajamas underneath and everyone says, oh fabulous jacket, and I say, you should see what's underneath.

One twin knows exactly when the other is spitting, but that's about all they know about anything.

When we were growing up, our mom taught us to never expose our navels.

I love going to parties where I know everyone. How are you supposed to have fun with people you don't know?

All I need is my bed and art around me.

The best part was the food. We go to some of the best Italian restaurants whenever we're in Toronto, so food was definitely a highlight.

I love swimming in the ocean in Malibu. But doing that necessitates a bikini shot. Doing that necessitates something I don't want. I don't need to be on the list of who's skinny, who's fat, who looks healthy, who's not eating?

I think when I walk around with a big bag it looks like it's a huge bag because I'm so tiny. But I think it's important to have the space you need, because we put everything in our bags all the time. I think every woman does that.

I learned to play drums. When we were in pre-production, I took a few drum classes when we were in LA and then a few more in Toronto. I finished one beat and that was it.

I get extra time to take tests because of my ED.

Everyone's brain works differently and I just need more time to figure things out.

Now that I'm older I'm more aware of the things that make me feel fulfilled as a person. I'm trying to focus on the things that make me feel empty.

In my opinion, you should take every chance you get because you might not get another one. You have to learn from your mistakes because nobody is perfect. You have to laugh, love and live every day like it's your last.

I'm lovely! She's my sister. (about her twin sister Ashley Fuller Olsen)

Australia is so amazing it's hard to even know where to start. The beaches are beautiful. The weather is too. It's not too crowded. Great food, great music, really nice people. It'll probably be the same as Los Angeles was many years ago.

I think everything happens for a reason, so there's no such thing as failure.

I think it's better to focus on what's in front of you and put one foot in front of the other.

I think the hardest part is getting to the point of asking for help or reaching out to other people and being honest with yourself.

I would never wish my upbringing on anyone... but I wouldn't take it back for the world.

I wear weird things sometimes. I like to drink coffee. None of these things have anything to do with my personality.

There are some really beautiful people in the world. When you're walking down the street, or you're in a restaurant, someone catches your attention because they have their own look. It goes beyond what they're wearing, it's their expressions, the way they smile or just the way they carry themselves.

There was a picture of me wearing weird sunglasses and a green sweatshirt, some striped thing, tights and cowboy boots...I just looked at that picture and thought, God, I look crazy.
